The opportunity
We’re looking for a full-time PPM Solutions Consultant to grow with us. The role covers project-management tooling, technical configuration and client-facing delivery, and you’ll work alongside our senior consultants on live client engagements. Expect to get hands-on with platform configuration, integration support, data migration and end-user enablement from early on.
The role is aimed at the junior-to-mid level. We’re open to two profiles in particular.
Application / IT-support background
Someone with an IT support, application support or junior systems administrator background who has been the de-facto owner of a PPM or collaboration platform (for example, Project Online, Microsoft Planner, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams sites) and wants to move into consulting.
PMO / project-coordinator background
Someone with a PMO analyst, project coordinator or junior project-management background who has become the go-to person for their team’s tooling, reporting and templates, and now wants to specialise in the technology side.
Either route works for us. We care more about curiosity, a methodical approach and an appetite for going deep on modern PPM platforms than about ticking every box on day one. We’ll give you the training, the PPM platform access, the certifications and the senior cover to learn fast.
What you’ll be doing
Platform configuration and build
- Configuring OnePlan and other PPM solution environments under the guidance of a senior consultant — project templates, fields, views, work plans, resource management, timesheets, portfolio dashboards and budget frameworks.
- Building and updating Power BI reports that sit alongside OnePlan, Project Online and other PPM data sources.
- Supporting Power Automate flows, SharePoint list configuration and lightweight Power Apps where these extend a client’s PPM solution.
- Maintaining Configuration Specification Documents so that every change is captured, traceable and handed over cleanly to the client.
Integration and data
- Supporting integration build between PPM solutions and surrounding systems — Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, HubSpot, Jira and customer-specific REST API endpoints.
- Helping with data migration work, particularly Project Online → OnePlan migrations using the approved extract templates and migration tooling.
- Running data validation, reconciliation and basic troubleshooting when integrations or migrations don’t behave as expected.
Client delivery support
- Joining discovery and design workshops with clients — taking accurate notes, capturing decisions and turning them into clean configuration backlogs.
- Producing training materials, quick-reference guides and short walkthrough videos for client super-users and end-users.
- Supporting user-acceptance testing by triaging issues, replicating problems in non-production environments and feeding back to the delivery lead.
- Providing hypercare and BAU support to clients after go-live — handling first-line configuration questions and minor change requests.
Internal and practice development
- Contributing to our internal knowledge base, particularly around how-to guides, configuration patterns and lessons learned.
- Supporting pre-sales activity, including demo environment build-out, response drafting and proof-of-concept work.
- Working towards OnePlan and Microsoft certifications relevant to the role.
Essential experience and skills
- One to four years of working experience in an IT support, application support, PMO, project coordination or junior consulting role.
- Hands-on familiarity with at least one of: Microsoft Project Online, Microsoft Planner, Project for the Web, OnePlan, Oracle Primavera Cloud, Planisware, Smartsheet, or a comparable PPM / work-management platform.
- Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 stack — especially SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and Excel to a confident level.
- Comfort with structured problem-solving and the ability to read configuration screens, error messages and logs without panicking.
- Clear written and spoken English, with the ability to explain a technical concept to a non-technical user.
- Right to work in the UK or Spain, and willingness to travel occasionally for client workshops and team meet-ups.
Nice to have
- Exposure to Power BI report development, including connecting to OData feeds or REST APIs.
- Experience with Power Automate flows, Power Apps or basic SharePoint workflow configuration.
- Awareness of integration concepts such as REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, service accounts and webhook events.
- Any formal PM qualifications (APM PFQ, PRINCE2 Foundation, Scrum or similar) or Microsoft certifications (MS-900, PL-200, PL-300).
- Experience supporting a Project Online environment, particularly any involvement with migration planning given Project Online’s retirement timeline.
- A second European language, particularly Spanish or Portuguese, given our team footprint.
The person we’re looking for
- Curious. You enjoy figuring out how a system actually works rather than just clicking through it.
- Methodical. You write things down, you test before you ship, and you don’t leave loose ends.
- Honest about what you don’t know. We’d much rather hear “I’m not sure, let me check” than confident guesses.
- Client-aware. You understand that a great configuration that nobody uses is a failed configuration.
- Comfortable in a small team. We’re deliberately lean, which means you’ll get exposure, ownership and visibility that you wouldn’t get inside a larger consultancy.
How the role will grow
In year one we’d expect you to become a confident pair of hands on OnePlan configuration under senior cover, with growing depth on at least one secondary platform such as Microsoft Planner or Power BI. By year two we’d expect you to be running smaller workstreams in your own right, owning client conversations at the working level, and starting to contribute your own designs into solution proposals. The route from there leads to Senior Consultant and, for those who want it, to Implementation Lead accountability on full client engagements.
What we offer
- Competitive salary, reviewed annually, calibrated to experience at offer stage.
- Discretionary bonus linked to company and individual performance.
- Pension contribution and standard statutory benefits in your country of employment.
- Generous personal-development budget covering OnePlan certifications, Microsoft certifications and APM or PRINCE2 qualifications where relevant.
- Properly remote working, with periodic team meet-ups in the UK and occasional opportunities to work alongside our Spain and Portugal colleagues.
- A small-team environment where your work is visible, your input is heard, and the path to senior responsibility is short for those who want it.
How to apply
Send a CV and a short covering note (a few paragraphs is plenty) — through the form on this page, or by email to careers@alsviorglobal.com. Tell us which of the two profiles above fits you best, the PPM or collaboration platforms you’ve worked with hands-on, and what kind of work you’d most like to be doing a year from now.
We’ll respond to every application. Shortlisted candidates can expect an initial conversation with the Director, a technical conversation grounded in a realistic configuration scenario, and a final values and team-fit conversation. We’re committed to building a diverse team and welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds — if you need adjustments to the process, let us know.
